Ross. 2: 528 (1845) [Flora of Japan] This name cannot be used, as it does not appear in the place cited. It was validated by Pavlov [Byull. Moskovsk. Obshch. Isp. Prir. Otd. Biol. 38 (1929) 138], [* or was it by Regel (1861)?], but then is a later homonym of Colla (1834). See Tzvelev., Fl. USSR 26 (1961) 119 for identity (he did not see Dorp. 1811). A species of Achillea is represented by a single sterile specimen from Bukittinggi (Jacobson 145, BO) and is possibly A. sibirica Ledeb., which is cultivated here and there in Indonesia (as A. condensata Miq.).
