Taxonomy I observed the holotype of Freya alba at MY in 1994 and considered this genus to be conspecific with Sabazia. I placed Freya alba under the synonymy of Sabazia in Panero (2007) without making the species combination. However, I am now of the view that until we have a molecular phylogeny of Sabazia including Freya alba, we should recognize Freya as a valid genus. Jose L. Panero, July 22, 2020 [details]

Taxonomy I observed the holotype of Freya alba at MY in 1994 and considered this genus to be conspecific with Sabazia. I placed Freya alba under the synonymy of Sabazia in Panero (2007) without making the species combination.
