The name given to this taxon by Sch. Bip. was published with an indirect reference to an earlier description by Fresenius (in Mus. Senckenberg. 3: 78. 1839) who published Rüppell's collection. Sch. Bip. referred two species to the undescribed genus Dianthoseris, and none are therefore validated. [Cichorieae Portal] [details]
